Editorial Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

SEM Solutions is a research-based software comparison publication. This policy explains how we keep our content independent, how it's produced, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Editorial independence

The editorial team decides which tools to cover and what we say about them, independently of any advertising, sponsorship or affiliate arrangement. A vendor can't pay to be listed, to change its position in a list or score, or to remove a documented limitation.

How our content is produced

Our content is research-based: we work from each vendor's published documentation, feature pages and pricing, public third-party sources and, for Market Signal, data from Ahrefs and Semrush. We don't run our own lab or benchmark tests. How We Review explains the method.

Use of AI. We use AI tools to help research and draft listings, comparisons and guides. A member of our editorial team reviews and edits everything before it's published and is responsible for it. Factual data isn't generated by AI: pricing is checked against vendors' own pricing pages, and Market Signal scores are computed from Ahrefs and Semrush data.

Sponsored content

We don't publish sponsored placements. If that changes, sponsored content will be clearly labeled and never presented as an independent comparison or ranking.

Vendor relationships

We don't accept payment, free products or any other consideration in exchange for favorable coverage. There are no affiliate links on the site today. If we add any, our Affiliate Disclosure explains how they work.

Corrections and vendor requests

If something on SEM Solutions is wrong or out of date (a price, a feature, a product name, a logo), send the page and the correction through our contact form, and we'll review and update it. Vendors can also ask us to update or remove their logo. Corrections are made on their merits; they aren't sold.
