Do these QR codes expire?⌄
No. The code holds your URL directly (a static QR code), so it works for as long as the page it points to exists. There's no redirect service in between that could be switched off or put behind a paywall.
Why add UTM tags to a QR code?⌄
Without them, scans usually show up in analytics as direct traffic, mixed in with people who typed your address. With utm_source=qr and a campaign name, you can see exactly how many visits each flyer, poster or package insert brought in.
Can I change where the code points after printing?⌄
Not with a static code: the URL is part of the image. If you might need to change the destination later, point the code at a page you control and redirect that page instead.
PNG or SVG?⌄
SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which is best for print and for handing to a designer. PNG is fine for screens, documents and slides; choose the 2048 px size if you need to print a PNG large.
Which error correction level should I pick?⌄
Medium suits most uses. Choose High if the code will be printed on a surface that may get scratched or dirty, or if a designer will place a small logo over the center. Higher levels make the code denser, so print it a little larger.
