#3 of 7 in Appointment Scheduling by Overall Score

What Is Cal.com?

Cal.com provides hosted scheduling with individual, collective, round-robin, and group event types. Its platform includes Routing Forms, automated Workflows, custom booking pages, availability rules, conferencing integrations, team scheduling, and developer APIs and embeddable components for products that need scheduling functionality built in.

Best for: Teams and developers that want flexible scheduling they can customize or embed inside another product.

Cal.com distinguishes itself through developer-facing scheduling APIs and embeddable components. Teams can use hosted booking pages or integrate scheduling into a product interface. The main codebase went closed source in April 2026; self-hosting now runs through Cal.diy, a separate MIT-licensed community edition, which brings its own infrastructure and maintenance work. API implementation is therefore a meaningful consideration for technical buyers.
