What Is GeneratePress?

GeneratePress provides a lightweight WordPress theme whose Premium modules add Block Elements, Site Library imports, WooCommerce controls, local fonts, navigation options, and layout customization. Combined with GenerateBlocks Pro, its Theme Builder can replace headers, footers, page heroes, sidebars, archive templates, post templates, and other theme output using the block editor.

Best for: WordPress developers and performance-conscious site builders that prefer native block-editor workflows over heavier visual builders.

GeneratePress Premium uses an Elements system to place block-built sections into theme locations and apply display rules. Developers can extend those rules through filters when standard location selectors are insufficient. Its standalone GP Premium license differs from the wider GeneratePress One bundle, which also includes the GenerateBlocks Pro editor and cloud pattern library.
