WP Rocket: Pricing, Features & Alternatives
WordPress performance plugin for page caching, CSS and JavaScript optimization, lazy loading, and database cleanup.
#2 of 7 in Caching Plugins by Overall Score
What Is WP Rocket?
WP Rocket improves WordPress performance through page caching and a set of front-end optimizations that can be enabled from the dashboard. Features include cache preloading, browser caching, GZIP-related configuration, delaying or deferring JavaScript, removing unused CSS, lazy loading media, database cleanup, and CDN compatibility, with many optimizations applied automatically after activation.
WP Rocket’s Remove Unused CSS option sends eligible public-page URLs to a remote processing service, then stores generated CSS locally. Password-protected staging sites cannot complete that process, and pages require a visit or cache preload to start generation. Its preload feature can still drive other optimizations on hosts that already supply their own page cache.
