What Is DocSend?

DocSend, a Dropbox company, lets users share documents through trackable links instead of sending attachments. It provides page-by-page viewer analytics, access controls, email verification, expiration settings, watermarking, virtual data rooms, Spaces for grouping files, and eSignature workflows, with activity notifications showing how recipients engage with shared content.

Best for: Fundraising, sales, investor-relations, and deal teams that need controlled document sharing with detailed viewer analytics.

DocSend can retain the same share link when the underlying sales collateral changes, so recipients are not forced to locate a newly emailed file. Viewer identification depends on requiring an email address; otherwise visit details are limited. Its Advanced Data Rooms edition also groups files into Spaces with aggregate visitor reports, which is a different purchase decision from individual document tracking.
