What Is iubenda?

iubenda is a web-based compliance service that writes and hosts legal documents and manages consent for websites and apps. Its generators build privacy and cookie policies from the third-party services a site uses, and higher plans add a terms and conditions generator. Privacy Controls and Cookie Solution shows a consent banner that adjusts to each visitor's location for GDPR, US state privacy laws, Brazil's LGPD and Switzerland's nFADP. It blocks cookies until consent is given, supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework and Google Consent Mode v2, and runs scans that find cookies, pixels and trackers. The Consent Database keeps proof of consent collected through forms, including the legal document version, the form shown and double opt-in status, written through a JavaScript library or an authenticated HTTP API. Installation is a copy-paste script or plugins for WordPress, Magento, Joomla and PrestaShop. Paid plans differ by pageview allowance, languages and scan frequency.

Best for: Small and mid-sized websites that need policies, a cookie banner and stored consent proof from one vendor.

iubenda's setup can use a unified remotely configured snippet, so consent changes made in its dashboard need not require a fresh Google Tag Manager publication. The product defaults to stricter automatic blocking for new Google Consent Mode installations, with an optional advanced mode. Teams must load its consent layer before marketing scripts for blocking to behave as intended.
