What Is Omnisend?

Omnisend is a web-based marketing platform for online stores that combines email campaigns, SMS, web push notifications, signup forms and popups. Native integrations connect it to Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Shoplazza, Ecwid, PrestaShop and other carts through each platform's app marketplace, while custom stores add a JavaScript tracking snippet and sync customers, orders and products through the API. The automation builder ships with more than 15 preset workflows, including welcome, browse abandonment, product abandonment, abandoned cart and abandoned checkout, and one workflow can mix email, SMS and push steps. Plans scale with contact count: the Free plan sends 500 emails a month to as many as 250 contacts, Standard sets the email allowance at 12 times the contact count, and Pro removes the sending cap and includes AI tools such as product recommendations, dynamic content and personalized send times. A Custom plan covers lists above 150,000 contacts.

Best for: Online stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Wix that want cart recovery and promotions across email, SMS and push from one builder.

Omnisend's ecommerce automations can use order and browsing events to branch messages across email and SMS without treating those channels as unrelated campaigns. A store's integration supplies the product and customer context. Operators should pay attention to subscribed contact counts and message allowances separately, since a channel's sending cost is not identical to an email-platform seat fee.
