What Is Surfshark?
Surfshark is a consumer VPN with apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, plus browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Edge, and one account can connect an unlimited number of devices at the same time. Connections use WireGuard, OpenVPN or IKEv2. CleanWeb blocks ads, trackers, pop-ups and known malicious sites. Bypasser handles split tunneling: Windows, macOS and Android can exclude both apps and websites, Android also offers a Reverse Bypasser that sends only chosen items through the VPN, and iOS can exclude websites only. Dynamic MultiHop lets users pick both the entry and exit servers of a double-VPN route, Static IP servers keep the same address across sessions, and a Dedicated IP is bought separately. NoBorders suggests servers that work on restrictive networks, IP Rotator changes the visible address every few minutes, and Android can override GPS location. The pricing page lists Starter, One and One+ plans next to extra services such as Antivirus, Alert, Alternative ID and Incogni data removal.
Best for: Households and individuals who want to cover many phones, laptops and tablets under one VPN account.
Surfshark distinguishes CleanWeb in its full VPN applications from the browser extension: the extension can filter content even without an active VPN connection, while app-level blocking depends on being connected. Its Bypasser controls use split tunneling for selected applications or destinations. Neither mechanism creates independent cookie stores for managing many marketing accounts.
