What Is Webex?

Webex combines Cisco's meeting, messaging, calling and webinar products in one collaboration environment. Webex Meetings includes AI Assistant features for summaries, transcripts, action items and translation, alongside polling, Q&A, reactions and interactive whiteboarding. For one-to-many sessions, Webex Webinars adds registration, branding, moderated Q&A and production controls, with attendee engagement through polls and chat.

Best for: Organizations that need enterprise meetings plus webinars, team messaging, calling, and cross-platform collaboration in the same suite.

Webex Webinars covers the full event cycle: branded registration and emails, a rehearsal space for panelists, moderated Q&A, polls and breakout sessions. Cisco AI Assistant can show attendees a live summary and give late joiners a recap of what they missed. The free Webex plan caps meetings at 40 minutes and 100 attendees, so larger or longer sessions need a paid or enterprise plan.
