Close vs Pipedrive: Built-In Calling or Visual Pipelines
Close puts calling, SMS and email inside the CRM. Reps dial through saved Smart Views with the Power Dialer on Growth or the Predictive Dialer on Scale, and Workflows chain email, SMS, call and task steps that stop once a lead replies or books a meeting. Pipedrive is organized around deal pipelines and leaves desktop calling to Marketplace apps such as Aircall and JustCall, while its mobile apps place and log calls. Its Premium plan bundles LeadBooster, Smart Docs with eSignatures and Projects, which Lite and Growth can add separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a separate phone system with Pipedrive?⌄
For calls from the desktop, yes. Pipedrive points to Marketplace apps such as CloudTalk, Kixie, CallHippo, Aircall, Toky, JustCall and Circleloop, which log completed calls against the right records. Its mobile apps can call directly. Close bundles calling and passes telephony minutes and phone numbers through on usage-based charges.
Which Close plans include automated Workflows?⌄
Only Growth and Scale. A Workflow can wait anywhere from one minute to 365 days between steps and ends a run when a goal occurs, such as an incoming email, SMS or call, a booked meeting or a lead status change. Users must allow Workflows to send email and SMS on their behalf.
Can I try both before committing?⌄
Both offer a free trial and neither has a free plan. Close's 14-day trial needs no credit card and includes some complimentary calling and AI credits. In Pipedrive's trial, Prospector credits aren't available, and eSignatures on Premium or Ultimate require billing details to be entered first.
Can Close send texts between countries?⌄
Mostly no. Close needs a Close-issued, SMS-enabled number matching the recipient's country and doesn't support international SMS, apart from messages among the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Texts sent from Workflows are throttled to one every three seconds and can't carry attachments, so plan high-volume texting accordingly.
