What Is Hostinger?

Hostinger sells web hosting, managed WordPress hosting, cloud plans, VPS servers, domains and email, all managed from its own control panel, hPanel. WordPress plans run on LiteSpeed servers with smart caching and include a CDN, a web application firewall, DDoS mitigation and automatic malware removal. A staging tool clones a site's files and database to a subdomain, then publishes the copy back over the live site when changes are ready. The Hostinger Website Builder is a separate drag-and-drop editor with AI site generation, more than 600 templates, an online store and SEO helpers such as automatic sitemaps. VPS plans are self-managed KVM servers with root access, a browser terminal, a Docker Compose manager and a public API that also supports MCP. Hostinger Agent, an AI chat assistant, helps with setup and troubleshooting. An Agency Startup plan adds an unbranded client dashboard for people who host sites for clients.

Best for: Freelancers and small businesses that want WordPress or builder sites, domains and email run from one control panel.

Hostinger's hPanel coordinates website accounts, domains and WordPress administration. Staging capabilities depend on the hosting product, letting eligible owners preview risky edits without modifying their production website immediately. The staging workflow copies WordPress site state; it is not a general application build pipeline triggered by every source-control commit.

Hostinger Pros and Cons

What We Like

  • WordPress staging copies files and database, then publishes changes back from hPanel.
  • WordPress plans include LiteSpeed caching, a CDN, a web application firewall and malware removal.
  • Website Builder pairs AI site generation with 600+ templates and an online store.
  • VPS plans give root access, Docker Compose management and a public API with MCP support.
  • Agency Startup plan adds an unbranded client dashboard and access sharing.

What Could Be Better

  • The staging tool doesn't support WordPress multisite, and setup can take up to 15 minutes.
  • The entry Premium plan keeps weekly backups; daily backups start on Unlimited.
  • VPS servers are self-managed, so operating system upkeep falls to the customer.
  • The included domain and mailboxes on website plans are free for the first year only.
