What Is Apollo.io?

Apollo.io is a sales prospecting platform delivered as a web app, a Chrome extension and an API. Reps search its B2B database of people and companies, reveal contact details, build lead lists and enrich records already in the CRM. The Chrome extension brings that data into LinkedIn, Gmail, Google Calendar, Salesforce, HubSpot and any company website, where users can see contact and company insights, add people to sequences, place calls and log tasks. Email sequencing is included from the Basic plan, and Professional adds call recording and advanced CRM integrations. Most data actions spend credits, which are pooled across the team, granted at the start of each billing cycle and don't roll over. The integrations marketplace connects Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Clay, Adobe Marketo, Airtable, ChatGPT and outside data providers such as Hunter, Dropcontact and ContactOut. Plans run Free, Basic, Professional and Custom, with SSO and API access on Custom.

Best for: Startups and small sales teams that want prospect data, outreach sequences and calling in a single tool.

Apollo combines a large B2B contact database with prospecting, enrichment, and sales-engagement workflows. A rep can search for companies or people, push selected prospects into sequences, and keep contact data close to the outreach step, reducing the handoff between a data provider and a separate cold-email platform.
