What Is HubSpot?
HubSpot is a cloud customer platform built on Smart CRM, with hubs for marketing, sales, service, content, data and revenue that share one contact database. The free CRM covers up to two users and 1,000 contacts and includes contact management, deal pipelines, forms, landing pages, email marketing, live chat, meeting scheduling, reporting dashboards and the Breeze AI assistant. Paid editions step up from Starter to Professional and Enterprise. The full workflow builder arrives at Professional, which allows up to 300 workflows per account, while Enterprise raises the cap to 1,000. Sales Hub and Service Hub Professional add sequences that mix automated emails with manual email, call, task and LinkedIn Sales Navigator steps, sent from a rep's connected work inbox. Breeze can also draft a workflow from a plain-language prompt. HubSpot runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps, and its marketplace lists more than 2,000 integrations, including Gmail, Slack, Shopify and Zapier.
Best for: Growing B2B and service businesses that want marketing, sales and support teams working from the same CRM records.
HubSpot divides core contact and pipeline tools from paid sales-execution entitlements. Sequence enrollment requires a Professional or Enterprise subscription plus an assigned eligible seat and the relevant permissions. Custom objects are an Enterprise capability, so buyers with an unusual account hierarchy should confirm their data model and seat mix before treating a free CRM deployment as their long-term configuration.
