What Is HighLevel?

HighLevel is a web-based CRM and marketing platform organized around agencies that manage many client businesses. Each client gets its own sub-account with pipelines, calendars, forms and surveys, a website and funnel builder, blogging, courses and memberships, and a social media scheduler. SMS, email, webchat and WhatsApp conversations land in one inbox, and the workflow builder can wait for a WhatsApp delivery status and fall back to SMS or email when a message fails. The Reputation Center sends review requests and pulls new Google and Facebook reviews in for replies. Calls and texts run on LC Phone, HighLevel's own telephony service, with Twilio still supported. Agencies can repackage the platform as their own branded software through SaaS Mode and copy a finished account setup to new clients with Snapshots. Conversation AI, Voice AI and other AI tools are billed through AI Employee subscriptions or pay-per-use. iOS and Android apps and an API are also available.

Best for: Marketing agencies that run funnels, messaging and review campaigns for many local clients and want to resell the platform under their own brand.

HighLevel's plans are built around sub-accounts: Starter covers 3 client accounts, while Unlimited and Agency Pro remove the cap. Agency Pro adds SaaS mode, which lets an agency sell its own branded subscriptions and create client accounts automatically. Phone, SMS, email and premium AI usage are billed separately on top of the plan. Unlimited lets an agency rebill phone and email costs to clients at cost, while Agency Pro allows a markup.

HighLevel Pros and Cons

What We Like

  • Sub-accounts keep each client's contacts, pipelines and funnels separate under one agency login.
  • Workflows can branch on WhatsApp delivery status and fall back to SMS or email.
  • LC Phone handles calls and texts natively, so no separate Twilio account is needed.
  • Snapshots copy a complete account setup so new clients start from a saved template.
  • Reputation Center collects new Google and Facebook reviews, and Reviews AI can draft replies.

What Could Be Better

  • The Starter plan is limited to three sub-accounts.
  • Telephony and AI usage are billed on top of the subscription.
  • A white-label mobile app and HIPAA compliance are reserved for the Enterprise plan.
  • Advanced API access and automated sub-account creation start at the Agency Pro plan.
